Web Link Lansing Community Council

The Lansing Community Council - is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for residents of the Town and Village of Lansing. The LCC channels United Way funds to The Lansing Older Adult Program (LOAP), The Lansing Recreation Department, Lansing Youth Services and The Lansing Drop-in Center. The Council is sponsoring *Lansing Harbor Fest* - a community celebration that will be held Saturday, August 15, 2009 in Myers Park from 10am to 8pm. This will also be a celebration of Myer's Park 50th Anniversary. For more information go to www.LansingHarborFest.org. The Lansing Community Council welcomes new members! Web Link Lansing Older Adult Program (LOAP)

Lansing Older Adult Program (LOAP), Woodsedge Road, Lansing, New York 14882- The Lansing Older Adult Program (LOAP) is a community organization providing educational and supportive services for seniors in Lansing. Call Marilyn Paradise, Program Coordinator at 533-7108.

Lansing Senior Van Policies & Procedures (Revised 11/06)

1. The Lansing Senior Van is available for the transportation needs of ALL Lansing senior residents on a first come, first serve basis.
2. The van is available, but not limited to, doctor appointments, nutrition meals at Woodsedge, shopping trips, senior citizen meetings, and special group trips.
3. Transportation arrangements for the Senior Van may be made by calling the Volunteer Dispatcher.
4. The van driver is in complete charge of the vehicle and passengers. Driver will determine the route to be followed. Town Insurance covers drivers and passengers while being transported on the Senior Van ONLY.
5. All stops will be predetermined and the driver will set time to depart and return. The van may be used up to 4 hours at any given time. Van trips will stay within Tompkins County. Any exceptions to this rule must be approved by the Dispatcher.
6. Reservations are essential. Calls must be made through the Dispatcher, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We suggest that arrangements be made a week in advance.
7. Donations are accepted but not required. Drivers will collect any donations and give them to Van Dispatcher. Donations will be used for the betterment of the van.
